This Privacy Policy explains how Amphibian Digital LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of ramen.tools, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. By using ramen.tools, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

ramen.tools is operated by Amphibian Digital LLC, a company registered in the United States. For any privacy-related question, please email us.

2. Data we collect

Profile data from sign-in: you can sign in to ramen.tools using your X (Twitter), Google or LinkedIn account. When you do, we receive the public profile information that provider shares with us (such as your name, handle, email address, avatar, location, bio, website and follower count) to create and display your maker profile.
Content you provide: your profile bio, the tools you claim as part of your stack, your favorites, and your points and mini-game activity.
Technical data: we temporarily record IP addresses and the actions performed on the site in order to protect the service against abuse (rate limiting, spam prevention).
Local storage: we store your dark/light theme preference in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
Payment data: when you purchase a Golden Ramen membership or extra slots, the payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe), which collects the information necessary to process the transaction. We receive a payment confirmation including your name, email address and the amount paid.

3. How we use your data

To create and display your public maker profile on ramen.tools (visible to all visitors).
To power community features such as the leaderboard, favorites and mini-games.
To contact you about your account, your purchases or important changes to the service.
To protect the service against abuse, spam and fraud.
To improve the website.

4. Payments

Payments for Golden Ramen memberships and extra slots are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for these transactions. We do not store your payment card details. Stripe collects the information necessary to process the payment (such as your name, email, billing country and payment method) under its own Privacy Policy and Terms.

5. Data retention

Your profile data is kept as long as your account exists on ramen.tools. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile data. IP-based abuse-prevention records are kept for a limited period and used only for that purpose. Payment and invoice records are retained as required by applicable law (invoicing records are held by Stripe as merchant of record).

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us via email. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Third parties

We share data only with the service providers required to run ramen.tools: Stripe (payments), X/Google/LinkedIn (sign-in), and our hosting and email providers. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
